8mm Analog Player Analog 8mm Transfer To DVD?

Analog 8mm transfer to DVD? - 8mm analog player

I am bringing on a mission, all of my grandparents' old 8mm tapes and Digial file in a format and maybe a little editing before burning to DVD. Everything I have 8mm tapes. What is the best way to get audio and video on my computer? W Hi8 / FireWire? Moreover, once I have used all the movies on my hard drive, the software available to edit and create DVD videos. What kind of camera / player, which to buy I get to my computer and the type of software that I need to transfer to DVD. I thank you all for your help!
